Standards and Interoperability
Achieving interoperability is important in any industry, in order to offer freedom of choice, hence cost-efficiency and flexibility, for the customer.
One way to reach desired interoperability is to establish and comply with standards.
Within the field of biometrics, there is standardization work carried out in order to establish standards on appropriate levels of the technology.
However, already today there are a number of ways that are beneficial to biometric systems in order to achieve interoperability.
